we can visulise at (x,y) graph, let the point be (x,y)

p is 3 (x) distance far fron Q , x = 2
p is 3 (y) distance far from Q from -1 to 2 so 2 distance up -1 to 0 and 0 to 1 so y = 1
(x,y) =
(2,1)

a) (3,1)
b) 2,1
c) 2,-1
d) 1.5,0.5
e) 1,0
DRAW your own figure and plot the answer choices:

Only B is both on PQ and farther from P than from Q.

The correct answer is B.

An alternate approach is to draw SIMILAR TRIANGLES.
For the DIAGONAL distance from P to be twice that from Q, the HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL distances from P must also be twice those from Q.
The result is the following figure:

Adding 2 to both the x-coordinate and the y-coordinate of P, we get:
(0+2, -1+2)
(2,1).

The correct answer is B.
