GIVEN: the perimeter of the larger square is 1
So, 4(side length) = 1
Divide both sides by 4 to get: side length of LARGE square =
1/4
So, the ONE SMALLER square has a side length of
1/8 (since 2 small square sides = the length of the large square side)
What is the perimeter of one such smaller square?
Perimeter = 4(side length)
= (4)(
1/8)
= 4/8
= 1/2
Answer: C
