by neha.patni » Fri Jul 30, 2010 2:36 am
During the worst years of the Great Depression, America faced tremendous challenges as unemployment topped 25%. Many historians credit the New Deal and the World War II industrial complex for propelling America out of the depression and into a then-unparalleled time of economic prosperity.

A) for propelling
B) with having propelled
C) as propelling
D) to propelling

Theory:

We know from the official guides that "Credit someone With Something" is the correct idiom.

If the official guide is correct, then only option E matches.

B is NOT correct because "having propelled" is wordy and changes the meaning of the sentence.

Answer is E.
