I just got the official report for the test I took earlier this week. I was hoping for more on AWA, am completely blindsided by 3.5 on AWA.

Does the AWA score matter? Should I retake the GMAT or focus on the applications?

Thanks

Congrats on your score!! Do not retake gmat just to improve your AWA scores. ideally anyhtng above 4 is fine, but theres lot more you can do than prepare again for gmat.
I would suggest come up with strong essays, show adcom how well you can express yourself.

Personal opnion though.

Hey sad to hear that. Unless you can give convincing reaaon why you got such a low score in AWA, adcom is not going to believe you that your excellent essays are weitten by you only. AWA is there for a reason. Lot of schools expect an AWA score of atleast 4.5
