I just took the GMAT a few weeks ago and got a 630 (Q-41,V-35). I am planning on taking the GMAT one more time in December and I think I will be able to raise my score, but if I don't I need to apply to some schools I can get into with my current score. I worked in nonprofit fundraising for 4 years, have an Econ degree from a good university, but only a 3.1 gpa.

What safety schools should I consider? Any ideas would be helpful!

It seems like you have a good score and might even get it higher. It also depends on what geographic location you'd like to be but randomly I would look at possibly Cornell, McCombs, and Kenan Flagler.

Thanks Jake,

I am hoping to increase it to at least a 660, but you never know. What will happen on test day! That's why I wanted to get an idea of some safety schools to apply to with my background and scores. I ideally want to stay in CA. So we will see....
