Sentence structure

please explain the structure of the sentence (modifiers, adverbs, main clause etc and their placement)

Diana stared dreamily at the handsome Mr. McKenzie, but Olivia, who hated economics, furiously jiggled her foot, impatient to escape the boring economics class.

Main clause: Sentence is of type X but Y where X and Y are independent clauses.

X = Diana stared dreamily at the handsome Mr. McKenzie
Y = Olivia, who hated economics, furiously jiggled her foot, impatient to escape the boring economics class.

Now exploring X and y individually:

Diana stared dreamily at the handsome Mr. McKenzie
NOUN VERB ADVERB ADJECTIVE NOUN
SUBJECT OBJECT


Olivia, who hated economics, furiously jiggled her foot, impatient to escape the boring economics
NOUN MODIFIER ADVERB VERB MODIFIER
class.

However, I suspect placement of modifier 'impatient to escape the boring economics class.'

Is this statement the correct answer choice or does it contain errors?

Statement is correct. it is an example taken from chompchomp.com (coordinating conjunction).

But in some other forum, somebody told me that Impatient to escape class is an adverbial phrase modifying jiggled. (answering the question WHY SHE JIGGLED? because she is impatient to escape the class)

But the same phrase can also act as adjective modfying the NOUN OLIVIA, but then why it is placed so far away from noun Olivia.
