Whats the Best way to Solve THIS KIND of Problem.

In a typical year, most visitors to Wyoming's Yellowstone National Park are not residents of Wyoming. But most of the visitors are residents of the U.S. From this it follows that:
A. most residents of the U.S. are not residents of Wyoming.
B. some residents of Wyoming are not visitors to Yellowstone Park.
C. most residents of Wyoming are residents of the U.S.
D. some residents of the U.S. are not residents of Wyoming.
E. some residents of the U.S. are not visitors to Yellowstone Park.

IMO B

Actually I do not know a direct method to tell you, but I think studying some assumption and logic rules may help to dissolve these questions!

If A, then B
If not A then not B--Ztype of rules
The more you suffer before the test, the less you will do so in the test! :)

Hi,
I generally solve such questions using Venn Diagrams.
Consider the set of visitors of the Park. Majority of them are US residents. minority(even nil) of the visitors are from Wyoming. So, at least some of the visitors who are US residents are not residents of Wyoming.

Hence, D

IMO best way to solve this problem will be to list each fact clearly and match them with answer choices.

FACT 1: YSNP is in Wyoming.
FACT 2: Most visitors to YSNP are not from wyoming.
FACT 3: Most Visitors are residents of US.

Let's see each answer choice with each fact in mind.

A. [most residents of the U.S. are not residents of Wyoming.] NONE of the facts, or combination of facts state this. Hence Reject.
B. [some residents of Wyoming are not visitors to Yellowstone Park.] See FACT 2, it states most visitors are not from Wyoming, hence some are, hence some are not. Contender answer. Let's look for a better answer.
C. [most residents of Wyoming are residents of the U.S.] Hmmm.. Playing with my psychology, yes i know that Wyoming is in US, but you did not state it in the premises. Not mentioned in any of the facts. I will reject this.
D. [some residents of the U.S. are not residents of Wyoming.] Again playing with our mental barriers. None of the facts mention this.
E. [some residents of the U.S. are not visitors to Yellowstone Park.] While it seems to be true ( notice closely that the answer again plays with your previous knowledge of Wyoming being in US, which is not mentioned anywhere in the premises.) Thus Reject this.

Answer is (B), only contender.

Consider the following case:
Population of Wyoming is 10K
Number of visitors to the park from Wyoming is 10K
Number of visitors who are residents of US is 100K
It satisfies all the 3 facts listed by you. But, it will not concur with B.

I was able to eliminate A, B and C
First take: 640 (50M, 27V) - RC needs 300% improvement

Just another possibility: Consider the case of all US residents being visitors being visitors of the park.
Even this case doesn't break the conditions of the stimulus.

If so... we need to check your explanation with an expert. I doubt the intent in the above statment.

Hi,
No..I didn't mean most = all. You are comparing the wrong things.
most of visitors of park = all of visitors of park (Incorrect)
most of the residents of US = all of the residents of US(incorrect)
But, most of visitors of park = all of the residents of US (can be correct, possible)

most of the visitors of the park can be all the residents of US. most of the visitors of the park are residents of US means some of the visitors of the park are not residents of US. That doesn't mean most of US residents are visitors of the park.
Example: population of US residents is 100K
Visitors of the park are 110K
Of these, let's say 10K are not US residents. So, that means the remaining 100K are US residents.
The meaning here is clear. most of the residents of the park are US residents but there is no US resident who is not a visitor of the park.
