please consider the constant values and solve for variables -
const given = depth
variables needed = diameters>>>> radius
since the difference in cake volumes is counted with the height of big and small cakes, depth is being const i.e.
h (big cake) /h (small cake) = 1
we need to find the ratio of big cake's area to that of small cake, p*r(big cake) ^2 / p*r(small cake) ^2, p/p=1 and 36/16 = 2 1/4
