If x > y^2 > z^4, which of the following statements could be true?

I. x > y > z
II. z > y > x
III. x > z > y

I only
I and II only
I and III only
II and III only
I, II and III

Any explanations???

1. For simple integers I is true
2. for x = 1/16, y=1/8 and z=1/4, II is true
3. for x=1/4, y=1/16, z=1/8, III is true.

therefore answer is 1, II and III
