GIVEN: 8,000 dollars are sufficient for a family of 4 members for 40 days.
So, 10,000 dollars are sufficient for a family of 5 members for 40 days. [If we increase the money by 25%, then we can feed 25% more people]
And, 15,000 dollars are sufficient for a family of 5 members for 60 days. [If we increase the money by 50%, then that money will last 50% longer]

Answer: E

The rate for 4 members is 8000/40 = 200 dollars per day for the family of 4, so the rate for 1 member is 50 dollars per day.

Thus, the rate for 5 members is 50 x 5 = 250 dollars per day, so 15,000 dollars will last for 15,000/250 = 60 days.
