We need to maximize the amount of food consumed by each guest; this will minimize the number of guests. Since 2.5 x 160 = 400, 160 guests could have consumed a maximum of 2.5 pounds of food each, and the last guest consumed 1 pound. Thus, the minimum number of guests is 161.
