What is the value of (x - y)4?
(1) The product of x and y is 7.
(2) x and y are integers.

IMO [spoiler][C][/spoiler]. Lets analyze,

(x-y)^4 ?
(1) The product of x and y is 7.


-There are several values of x & y possible for which the product is 7...
(1,7) (1/7,49) etc..
all of these will result in a different (x-y)^4.. NOT SUFF.
(2) x and y are integers.
-This alone is obviously NOT SUFF

Taking (1) and (2) together..
The subsets of (1) that satisfy criterion in (2) are..
(1,7) , (7,1) , (-1,-7) and (-7,-1)

all these will result in same (x-y)^4 = 6^4

Hence, the correct answer should be [spoiler][C][/spoiler].
