GMAT Score:660

by DeepakR » Wed Feb 17, 2010 11:32 am
Folks,

Thanks for all your wishes. Yes 660 might not be the best score for a top school but its certainly not the worst. I am not interested in getting involved in replying to few negative conversations on my score. We all are here to help each other and learn so I would rather focus on that.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank DanaJ for her valuable advice in this forum.

I finally got my official score sheet today. AWA was 4.5 and I will happily take it as it is better than my previous attempt of 4.
I am planning to apply for the following universities for Spring 2011. I am not sure how many of those enroll during spring.
If anyone has any idea on any of the below ones please let me know.

1. Carnegie Mellon - MIS
2. Texas Austin MCComb - MIS
3. UTD Dallas - MIS
4. HAAS school of business berkley CA
5. New york University - Leonard stern school of business
6. NUS Singapore
7. McGill university Canada

@Hrishi - Nope I did guess. Quants was pretty easier but slightly trickier. MGMAT math was really tough but its always good to prepare for the worst. Quants I was pretty much on time. I had two questions in the last 5 minutes and i finished 30 seconds in advance.

For verbal I was a bit slow but steady. I guess i did my initial questions correctly. I had almost 20 questions in the last 20 minutes. Except for the last but one RC passage I was able to finish the rest. I did make some guess for the last 3 questions especially CR since i know i will not be able to answer it in < 1 minute whereas for the last few SC i tried to solve each one of them since i was sure that i could solve them in < 1 minute.

Thank you,
Deepak

Let me tell you something, McGill is the shit, you will enjoy your time there if you are admitted! Born and raised in Montreal and I miss it.

Good luck!

DeepakR:

I never expected that applicant like you who is planning to attend Graduate Business School have this type of mind! My quote was an expression of surprise given the extremely high requirements of good Business Schools and increased competition? You can't just treat it like negative quote? My criticism and criticism made by simon cowell can't be compared at same page? On an average you gotta have digit 7 in your score in order to get in good business school. Anyways, I think forum should also be a place for Truth. If one member post his post with statement like:

Hurrah!! Wonderful!!! Defeated GMAT Scored 370!!!

Then probably other member will use hypocracy and reply him

Great user 370 Great!! Finally you made.

Some will reply:

370 is a great score, I know my friend's father's third cousin got admission into Wharton Finance PhD program with full fee waiver
