two different integers are to be selected from a set of ten different integers in which half of the integers are even and half are odd.how many of the 45 possible selections consist of one even and one odd integer?

There are 5 different odd integers and 5 different even integers.
For each of the 5 different odd integers we can select any one of 5 different even integers. Hence, total number of selections in which one integer is odd and the other one is even is 5*5 = 25

The correct answer is E.
