Was my first test a fluke??

by dubc1982 » Wed Aug 06, 2008 3:56 am
I took the real GMAT on Saturday and scored a weak 540. Before taking the real thing I scored a 550 on Kaplan CAT, 590 on GMATPrep 1 and 600 on GMATPrep 2. I just took a MGMAT yesterday and scored a 590. So I'm thinking my actual GMAT score was a fluke and that if I take it again I should do better.

I felt like the actual GMAT was much harder than any practice. Would you say the MGMAT are good to practice with?

I've exhausted all my other CATs, but I have 5 MGMAT left. I plan on using these all before I take the test again in September. Any thoughts?

i also use mgmat cats and find them rather difficult
i did use them and my score increased dramatically probably because of the explanations they give at the end of the exam
good luck

Yes, it could have been a fluke, it could have been nerves...don't think about it too much. Just move forward with your prep!
