IS AWA test compulsary iin second attempt?

IS taking AWA compulsary in the 2nd attempt. I gave GMAt few month ago with AWA score 5. Now I am giving again as my total score was not satisfactory. Do I need 2 attempt AWA again? Will my old AWA score not be valid?
Philosophers have interpreted world in various ways, the point is to change it!

I would definitely do it; the admissions committee might not be happy to see a zero on your AWA, even if you previously got a 5. You got a 5 before, you can do it again!
