Urgent..Please Help..

by opensourcelover » Sat Nov 01, 2008 8:32 am
Dear All,

I have my GMAT scheduled on 3rd December.
I have purchased the following prep books:
1)Kaplan 2009 Premier Program
2)OG 11
3)Manhattan Review for SC
4)Arco for RC.

Can someone tell me if the following books are enough for preapration.I would like to specifically ask if Kaplan 2009 book is enough for preapration for Quant section and are the problems given in Kaplan, more tuff than the problems that appear on the GMAT.I am not refering to any other material or problems apart from problems in OG and Kaplan for QUANT.
I have devoted the last 10 days to revise questions from OG and practice the preapration tests. Is this a sufficient time?
Since i am not working i devote 10 hours a day and have completed 85% Quant and 45% Verbal sections.
Can someone please advise me on this preapration strategy.

Thanking you,
MAC.

I would also suggest you to take a look at mgmat books. But given your time constraint it may be b better to focus on a few books. Finish OG first and then move to Kaplan for quant and yes I do believe that Kaplan quant has tougher questions than the actual GMAT. Also dont keep the practice test for the the last 10 days. If you find something wrong in your strategy then making changes to it in 10 days will be very difficult.

This is just a difference in opinion, and I don't mean to cause you to make a difficult decision, open source, but I definitely prefer an order where you work through a prep book first before using OG. This way you have learned how to attack the questions first. I believe this is a better way to utilize the OG, which is a nonrenewable resource.
