Can someone clarify the below ::
1 ) Clause is a group of words that includes a verb and optional subject :
E,g Swimming is a good exercise.
Can there be a clause without subject and just verb ????
2) Phrase is a group of words without both ( subject and verb )
E,g Pearls moving mysteriously from one place to another
( pearls -subject )
Can there be a phrase with just a verb ?? Then would it not be categorized as a clause ??
