Please let me know when does GMAT Considers Being correct.

I only learnt that Being makes the sentence passive,so we must ignore being

Being is generally not preferred in most of the GMAT SCs, but beware we should not eliminate an answer choice just because it has got "being" in it. Looks for other errors & then chose the option that has no grammatical errors.

Its good to use process of elimination, but Is there any way to understand when can be "being" correctly used?
