First, I know this doesn't fit the forum very well but I can't find a perfect place for it so I'm just going to post it here. I have the option to take an educational leave of absence from my job to pursue a full-time MBA and return to the same or a similar position. My close friends and family say I would be stupid to pass up this sure thing by quitting and finding something new after graduation. I personally am planning to switch careers from engineering to consulting so going back to the same job does not fit with my career goals at all. I just wanted to know how many of you are quitting your jobs completely and how many are going back to the same job or company.
Are you quitting your job to pursue an MBA?
