I just finished my Gmat today and got a disappointing score of 640.
I live in chicago area and would really like to apply in part-time program at both U Chicago and Northwestern U.
My background: 6.5 years of work experience with 3 years as engineer designing air pollution control systems and component for heavy industries and another 3.5 years in Business development/ sales for capital goods.
Academics : Undergrad in Chemical Engg from India : GPA 3.8
Graduate School: MS Chem Engg, University of Missouri - Rolla: GPA 3.4
Authored a technical research note in a leading academic journal based on my Grad research. 2006
Authored another technical article in leading cement magazine during initial 3 years as engineer.2007
Designed a groundbreaking equipment which can bring significant revenue to the company. Right now actively marketing that equipment.
Play significant role in team's marketing and sales strategy.
Question: Do i have a fair chance in getting admission to those two schools.
I do travel a significant amount and would rather not take GMAT again.
Also did score 710 and 670 on my GMAT prep tests.
