by pbouchard » Sun Jan 11, 2009 2:17 pm
Hello - Any guidance or suggestion on my profile or possibly valuable schools I could be over looking. Thanks very much.

Major: Marketing Overall G.P.A.: 3.37 Major G.P.A.: 3.41

Work in Media/Cable industry. Currently research manager, and have been promoted twice in since being hired two years ago. Most likely will go part-time if i am accepted to a DC metropolitan area graduate program, but willing to look at full time programs as well if there is enough benefit.

Prior work experience is at a national sales organization as a sales incentive analyst.

Gmat: 620

Current list:
UMD - Part-time
GW - Part-time
DePaul - Full-time
Loyola

Thanks again.

The schools you have chosen seem to fit your profile pretty well. However, you did not mention your post-MBA plans and they should definitely factor into your school choice. If you choose a full-time program you can complete you MBA in a shorter amount of time and build strong relationships with your classmates. However, a part-time program will allow you to still maintain your income stream. You have to weigh the pros and cons based upon your personal situation and goals.

Thanks very much for getting back to me. I've been doing research about DePaul's program and like it very much. Any insight on to why its part time program gets so much accreditation, while the full time not as much?
