Help needed for Exam Scheduling

by kavu13 » Sun Jun 29, 2014 9:43 am
Hi All,

I am planning to join the FALL 2015 session for my MBA program.
I need suggestion on when should I schedule my GMAT exam, so that I get enough time for preparation as well as to update my profile/send applications with/to the universities according to my areas of interest.

The 2015 season is already underway mate - so the answer to your question is as soon as possible! If you knock it out of the park the first go around, great. If not, you have time to retake it. If you're looking at R1 deadlines, then you're coming up against a bit of pressure to get it done quickly. If you're looking at R2 deadlines only, then you have a bit more time but why wait?

Hi Bhavik,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion...but it would be a great help if you could ballpark a date. I was thinking around end of October. It would be much appreciable if you could suggest dates as to when I should take the exam to be eligible for R1 as well as R2 (considering that the former is no longer feasable).

Hey there,

I'm happy to but your post confused me a bit. You mentioned you're planning on taking it late October but then asked for R1 and then said it wasn't feasible. Sorry I'm confused - but I took a shot at an answer. Let me know if I missed something!

So if you're planning on taking it late October, that's ok for R2. That gives you 2 months or so to prep your applications. However, I'd still suggest taking it late summer if possible. Like I said, if you then need to retake it, you have time to adjust. Late August or early September would be a good time to target.
