Help needed for school selection

4+ years experience in family business.

COMPANY PROFILE:

Established in 1959, the company is a leading supplier of home furnishings and furnishing accessories in India. The company sources its products locally as well as from countries such as China, U.S.A., Brazil, Turkey, and Dubai. The company sells its products to Retail Showrooms, Hotels and Corporates. The product range includes Upholstery Cloth, Curtain Cloth, Carpets, Bed and Bath Linen and other furnishing accessories.

Job responsibilities:

1.Responsible for developing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts within Southern and Western India in a Business to Business sales environment which accounts for over 60 % of revenues generated.
2.Responsible for procurement of material from China.
3.Responsible for managing and overseeing day to day operations.
4.Serving as customer contact to help place orders for existing customers
5.Assist in creating and distributing of quotes for new customers.
6.Worked in accounts department for an year.

Hello, Arpan,

I'd say that the schools among those on your list where you'd have a reasonable chance with strong applications are Exeter and Strathclyde. The GMAT presents a hurdle, made more difficult by your being in the Indian demographic which tends to have higher than average numbers.

On the plus side, you have excellent work experience and the family business is interesting. You didn't mention your goals; if you intend to return to the family business, that fact also will be a plus, because adcoms are very concerned about placing graduates in this troubled global economy.
