how do B schools perceive GPAs which sound less on the scale of 5, but in terms of percentage, are considered good in particular country/university ?

eg. in india , I had 70%, when I passed from Pune university [india's one of topmost universities]. This is regarded as first class with distinction. The university topper had a few more pecent points, somewhat around 77%.
So actually my score is one of the best scores.

but on a GPS scale its around 2 :-\

how do b schools perceive this ?
should I mention it in the application ?

Dear laxmisaagar,

The information you found is helpful. You should also know that schools are familiar with the different grading systems, so your first class with distinction will be noted as high academic achievement.

Good luck,
Lisa
