Chicago Booth - Recommendation Word Limit

by pjyoti » Tue Nov 20, 2012 12:57 pm
All,

I've been trying to understand or find something (anything) online that could elude towards how long the Booth recommendations need to be. They have not specified the word limit within the application and hence was raised by one of my recommenders as a question.

I'd appreciate if you could shed some light on this topic.

I did reach out to the Admissions office and they were not able to answer the question directly or drop a hint about the average length seen, or it's range.

I was looking to get some direction from those who have applied or are applying to Booth, as their recommenders may have asked or are asking the same question as mine are: How long does this one need to be?

Any thoughts?

Well, I like to see one longer recommendation (for the stronger recommender) and one less long. I think 3 pages is a good length for the long, and about 2 is average.
