Hello,
I scored 630 in my gmat, i have a total of 9 years of experience (with substantial leadership experience of 7 years).
I applied to Rotman and Mcgill, and received ding from both of them.
Rotman interviewed me and dinged, and mcgill dinged without interview.
I took professional help for essay editing since i did not have time, and i have had strong recommendations as well, so i do not think that my essays were that bad to be thrown out at first look. I had decent stories to talk about.
My interview with rotman was perfectly fine, I could see that the concerned was convinced with my profile, at the end of conversation, i asked that if my profile is not fit to apply for 2012 intake, i may withdraw application and am happy to apply for 2013 intake, the concerned suggested that we should go ahead and apply.
But the result is DING Smile, so no point in talking if the interviewer was impressed or not Smile
I really fail to understand one point every admissions officer talks about OVERALL profile, but when it comes to decision its probably GMAT , GMAT and GMAT first. ( i could be wrong, but this is my personal experience now )
I have really started doubting my capabilities now
, the worst part is that I dont know the reason as to why i am being rejected whether its age (30), essay (i seriously doubt) or wrong timing (last round).. really dont understand..
the average of both these schools are in the range of 660-670, and i was 40 odd points lower than the average of the class, still i stand rejected.
I applied in the last round of both the schools ( at rotman even a bit later than the last round), so do you think applying late could be a potential reason for my rejection ? or
do you think whatever the case may be GMAT SCORE is the ULTIMATE criterion for the schools, and rest all is TALKS Smile
I wrote one of the schools to give me a feedback, and he wrote back to me saying that "i would give you advice to apply as early as possible".
post these experience, i dont understand which direction to work on :)Please help
I dont know if i should take professional editing services now or not
