For question 1
This sentence is about the Parallelism rule and the correct use of the superlative, surest, easiest and lest expensive. The only other option that follows the same rule would be C) but in C the meaning changes to “one of” (indicating thta there ar emore than one) and the sentence’s meaning indicates the it is “the most”

Question 2
I would go with D, sorry I cannot help here...

Superlative use and parallel makes it the right choice.
2) D
The non underlined part is in present perfect tense ( has grown). The following lines needs to be in present perfect. But look at answer choices A,B,C,E has is verb that is simple tense.

@jc114, Please underline the part of the sentence in question. Otherwise it becomes difficult to analyze the questions. And also use spoilers while revealing the OA. If one reads OA along with the question, the whole exercise becomes futile.
