GMAT Score:690
Hi,
I have taken GMAT 3 times and scored 550,580, and 690. I am targeting at making into one of the top 20 schools, H, W, S, Columbia, Kellog, Tepper in particular. Being a software engineer, Indian, I understand that it is difficult to make it into one of these schools with a 690 and I would like to go for a fourth attempt and target at 750+.

My question is, how would the top schools look at the profiles with multiple GMAT Scores. Will the fourth attempt have a negative impact on the adcom when they look at my profile?

Please let me know..

Thanka,
the gmatter

It doesn't look bad at all. More like perseverance! Especially since you keep upping the score in an impressive manner. Keep hacking away sir! You'll get there.

I agree with Jon. Your upward trend is worth the look, and your persistence will never be questioned. Given you are targeting some top schools, just keep in mind that you can only take the test 5 times in a 12 month period. So don't rush the next attempt and keep practicing.

@Alex, sure sir, I will see to it that I don't attempt 5 times in a 12 month time frame
