my teacher applies the BODMAS to this:

{[(7+8) ÷ 3] * 8} - 2
{[ 15 ÷3] *8} -2
{ 18*8 } - 2 << why it is 18, and not 5? since 15 ÷3 = 5??
144-2
= 142

Is that result correct?
