GMATPrep Reset - How accurate?

Hey,

I just took a GMATPrep test (after resetting for the 2nd time) and scored 770 (51Q, 44V). How inflated would you say it is? I didn't "remember" any of the answers and none of the reading comprehensions were repeated. Naturally, there were a bunch of repeat questions but I didn't "memorize" any of the answers so I had to calculate.

It makes me feel quite good! Lol.

It's difficult to say how inflated the test was. I imagine that it was somewhat inflated because some questions were repeated. You may not have remembered the answers, but you you probably remembered how to calculate the answers. This could have resulted in additional time for the more difficult questions and could have inflated your score.

What were yours scores on your previous GMATPrep attempts?

720, 740, 740 on GMATPrep.
730 on PowerPrep 1 and Princeton Review.
680, 700, 710 on Manhattan GMAT.

It seems like you are scoring in the 700 to 750 range if you factor in the inflation. If you can put up a score in that range, then you will be in good shape for the application process!

Are MGMAT scores deflated? I always score much lower on them. Although I have a strange feeling that they predict the actual score better than GMATPrep. GMATPrep is definitely easier than the real thing. I just did another MGMAT CAT and scored 700. :S

MGMAT is a pretty accurate predictor. I believe the standard deviation is 50 points and the standard deviation for GMATPrep is 30 points.

I scored 690 on MGMAT 4 times and got a 710 on the actual GMAT.

hi,

I am taking GMAT in 2 days.
These are my scores:
MGMAT: 630, 650
GMAT prep1: 670 , 680(again)
MGMAT: 600, 670, 680



GMAT PREP2: 590 :oops: :oops:
i didnt remember any of the repeat questions .

i am totally devastated by prep2 result.
PLEASE HELP ME :o

Hey..

Am also taking the test on 1st October.

My scores have varied a lot.
GMATprep1: 760
MGMAT: 690
GMATprep2: 770....

Dont know how to interpret these results, will be glad if someone could help!!
