I have been lurking around this website for the past 1 year but this is my first post.
I just came back from the Test Center and i am very sad to say that i got a 620 (Q45 V31). I was not surprised with my score because i did not cross 700 in any of my practice exams.
I studied the following materials:
OG 12
Manhattan SC guide
GMAT CR Bible - I studied this book only during the last 2 weeks of my preparation
OG Verbal and quant review
I did the following exams.
GMAT Focus (1st exam 42-48, 2nd 44-49, 3rd 47-51)
Manhattan GMAT 1 - 660
Manhattan GMAT 2 - 640
Manhattan GMAT 3 - 650
Manhattan GMAT 4 - 670
GMATPREP 1 - 650
Knewton free test - 600
GMATPREP 1 (retake) - 690 - saw some repeats
Princeton free test - 590
GMATPREP2 - 600 - Took AWA
GMATPREP2 (retake) - 630
As you can see, my scores did not improve through out my preparation. Since i had already postponed the exam 2 times, i decided to take up the exam today without giving much excuses.
I understand that i made the following mistakes:
1) Took up the exam in the morning just because i did not get a afternoon slot.
2) Though i went through the wrong answers after each exam i did not try to improve on that area by studying more on that area.
3) Did not take AWA during my practice exams.
This website has been very helpful to me. Whenever i was let down by a poor practice GMAT score, i will read a GMAT success story and motivate myself.
I need some help from experts who can guide me on how to improve my score from 620->700. I really need that 7 as hundreds digit in my score.
Any help to improve my score will be appreciated. I understand that this is not a kind of debrief anybody would like to read before going into exam. I thought my mistakes might be helpful to someone.
Hoping to receive some advice from the GMAT geniuses.
