African MBA's

To anyone who want's to comment:

What is your take on African MBA's? From research the only MBA program in Africa that is in the top 100, is the UCT (University of Cape Town) MBA. They focus on Emerging Markets and Entrepreneurship.

Your comments will be appreciated.

Hi Saffa,

I am not familiar with MBA programs in Africa. There is definitely increasing interest in non-US MBA programs among applicants, so perhaps Africa will become a focus at some point. Right now we see applicants starting to become interested in Asian focused MBAs, and of course there are well established MBA programs in Europe, Canada and the US.

Good luck!

Hi saffa,
The only university I came across on southern Africa is University of Cape Town and University of Witwatersrand. Although, only the former has global recognition. If you're interested in making an impact in Africa you might also want to consider CEIBS since china has become an increasingly important player in Africa (whether you agree with their philosophy or not)

Here is a diary from a South African ex-MBA student at Stanford. If you can get hold of him he might have some interesting insights ;)
