Monarchy, a stable form of government for many centuries, came under greater and greater social pressure in the 18th and 19th centuries, in particular in Europe and in North America. In many countries, the end result was a complete change of regime.

Which of the following conclusions is most strongly supported by the information above?

A. By the end of the nineteenth century, most monarchies in Europe and North America were replaced by democracies.
B. Most countries which were monarchic in Europe and North America at the beginning of the 18th century had a different form of government by the end of the 19th century.
C. Though accepted in the twentieth century by certain countries, communism has philosophical and social roots dating to the 18th and 19th centuries.
D. There were many reasons for the regime changes of the 18th and 19th centuries.
E. You were more likely to live in a monarchy on the eve of the 18th century than you were on the eve of the 20th century.

Option A - INCORRECT.
Actually, it is possible that by the end of nineteenth century, most monarchies in Europe and North America were replaced by democracies, but it wasn't stated here in this argument that it was replaced by democracies.

Option B - INCORRECT.
Most countries which were monarchic in Europe and North America at the beginning of the 18th century may possibly have a different form of government by the end of the 19th century.

Option C - INCORRECT.
It wasn't stated in the argument that it was accepted in the twentieth century by certain countries, reference was only made to the 18th and 19th century, and was categorically stated also that In many countries, the end result was a complete change of regime.

Option D - INCORRECT.
It is certain that there were many reasons for the regime changes of the 18th and 19th centuries, but still wasn't effective not until the end of the 19th century or possibly the beginning of the 20th century.

Option E - CORRECT.
This option is the best conclusion suitable for the argument. It's possible that i am more likely to live in a monarchy on the eve of the 18th and 19th century than i was on the eve of the 20th century. Thanks to the greater social pressure in the 18th and 19th centuries.
