but there are 3 other Qs packed in the same post , as a fallout none has been discussed comprehensively.

Is |v - x| < 8?
(1) v and x are integers.
(2) |v| = 4 and |x| = 6


OA is given in the above mentioned thread

The answer has to be E


Statement one

Pick 2 sets of integer values
v=25,x=6 |25-6| = 19 which is greater than 8
v=8,x=6 |8-6| = 2 which is lesser than 8
Hence Insuff

Statement two
Checking with integers first
v= -4 x = 6 so |-4-6| = 10 which is greater than 8
v=-4,x=-6 |-4-(-6)| = 2 which is lesser than 8

Hence Insuff

Combined
By looking at Statement two itself, we can say that combining does not help

St 1:- we can pick any integers that will make question stem both sufficient and insufficient.

St 2:-

Taking v=4, x=-6, |v-x| = 10 thus insufficient

Taking v=4, x=6, |v-x| = 2, thus sufficient

St 2 is insufficient...

Combining, we still get the same, so take E.

I saw the OA in the other post, it is shown as D...anyone has an idea why?
