What is the sum of a certain pair of consecutive odd integers?
(1) At least one of the integers is negative.
(2) At least one of the integers is positive.
A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.
D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.
E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

Can someone plz. explain this problem.

A) says one or both of the integers could be -ve. Not suff

B) likewise

C) One positive, one negative, and consecutive indicates the two are 1,-1.

Would be C

What if the series is -3 -1 1

series of odd numbers but sum is -3
So we have a number of combinations possible so answer shud be E

The question is asking only for a pair of consective odd integers. 3 numbers cannot be used.
