Given: 1.5/(0.2 + x) = 5
Multiply both sides by (0.2 + x) to get: 1.5 = 5(0.2 + x)
Expand: 1.5 = 1 + 5x
Subtract 1 from both sides: 0.5 = 5x
Divide both sides by 5 to get: 0.1 = x
Answer: B

We are given the following equation:

1.5/(0.2+x) = 5

We begin by multiplying both sides of the equation by (0.2 + x), and we obtain:

1.5 = 5(0.2 + x)

1.5 = 1 + 5x

0.5 = 5x

0.5/5 = x

0.1 = x

Answer: B

To clear the decimals, multiply the top and the bottom of the red fraction by 10:
15/(2 + 10x) = 5.

Since 15/3 = 5, the expression in blue must be equal to 3:
2 + 10x = 3
10x = 1
x = 1/10.

The correct answer is B.
