The results of company's cost cutting measure are evident in its profits, which increased five percent during the first three months of this year after it fell over the last two years

a) which increased five percent during the first three months of this year after it fell
b) which had increased five percent during the first three months of this year after it had fallen
c) which have increased five percent during the first three months of this year after falling
d) with a five percent increase during the first three months of this year after falling
e) with a five percent increase during the first three months of this year after having fallen

I choose A but the OA is C

"A" is wrong.singular "IT" refers to its plural antecedent"profirs"

IMO C:

A -pronoun- Antecedent issue it does not matches with plural profits.
B : Tense problem. Uses had for both of the activities implying that they both happened at the same time in past while the idea is that profit fell for 2 years and then increased this year.
D : With seems to refer to the results not to profit.
E: Same as D.
C: Presents the correct forms .which refers correctly to profits,have matches with the plural subject profits.After tells us that the event described happened after the following event.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

This is a straight C

'WITH' is an adverbial modifier and can modify the entire clause. We only need to modify profits. Therefore, which is more suitable. WITH can modify results too.

Profits are plural.
