After the recent court rulings, commercial shark fishing and shark hunting will resume in Diamond Bay. Many citizens of the communities around the bay have hailed this move, believing that a decrease in sharks will lead to an increase in all smaller fish, including the endangered Green-Gilled Silverfish, whose only ecosystem is within Diamond Bay. Ecologists, though, disagree, pointing out that a decrease in sharks will lead to a surge in Sea Lions, which are the principal predator of the Green-Gilled Silverfish.

In the argument given, the two portions in boldface play which of the following roles?

A) The first provides support for conclusion of the argument; the second states that conclusion.
B) The first describes evidence that has been taken as supporting a conclusion; the second states a contrary conclusion that is the main conclusion of the argument.
C) The first is an opinion that the argument opposes; the second is evidence inconsistent with the conclusion of the argument.
D) The first describes the circumstances that the argument as a whole seeks to explain; the second gives the explanation that the argument seeks to establish
E) The first describes the circumstances that the argument as a whole seeks to explain; the second provides evidence in support of the explanation that the argument seeks to establish.

Option A - INCORRECT.
This option is contrary to the argument. The first which is the main argument provides support for the argument ''Eradicating Sharks to the lowest minimum by hunting them'' meanwhile the second is against this move which is an indefinite conclusion.

Option B - CORRECT.
This option has proven to support the argument in bold faces. The first describes evidence from the court ruling stating that commercial Shark fishing and hunting in Diamond Bay should commence which this is in favor of the citizens who believes that a decrease in sharks will lead to an increase in all smaller fish, and most especially the endangered Green-Gilled Silverfish. However, this decision didn't go well with the Ecologist who think the decrease in sharks will birth the increase in Sea Lions, which are the principal predator of the Green-Gilled Silverfish. Therefore, the main conclusion is how to eradicate predators from Diamond Bay.

Option C - INCORRECT.
This option is partial at some point but initially it is right. The first is an opinion that the argument opposes; but the second is an evidence that is consistent with the conclusion of the argument which needs to be put into consideration too.

Option D - INCORRECT.
This option is absolutely wrong with the first and second statement about the argument. The first does not describe the circumstances but rather gain stands at which the argument as a whole seeks to explain; the second gives a contrary opinion to the decision of the first that the argument seeks to establish.

Option E - INCORRECT.
The first describes a proven evidence that the argument as a whole seeks to explain; the second provides evidence which are not in support of the explanation that the argument seeks to establish.
