A certain student sold exactly 40% of all the tickets sold for a raffle, and exactly 10% of all ticket-holders won prizes in the raffle. If all ticket-holders purchased only one ticket, and if each ticket could win a maximum of one prize, how many tickets did the student sell?

(1) The student sold 3 winning tickets.

(2) There were 25 available prizes to be won in the raffle.

I found this problem very confusing

Total number of ticket holders = x
No of tickets sold by the student = 40% of x = 2x/5
No of ticket holders who won the prize = 10% of x = x/10

Statement 1
The student sold 3 winnning tickets.
We dont know what % of the tickets sold by the student won prizes
Insufficient

Statement 2
25 available prizes to be won onthe raffle
x/10 = 25
x = 250
Student sold = 2x/10 = 50 tickets
Sufficient
