If x and y are positive integers, what is the ratio of x to y?

(1) x is equal to the sum of a, b, c, d, and e.

(2) y is equal to the average of a, b, c, d, and e.

statement I: X= a+b+c+d+e

cannt be answered. so strike out choices A and D.

statement II: Y=(a+b+c+d+e)/5

cannt be answered so strike out B.

taken together X/Y=5

so ans is C

(1) x is equal to the sum of a, b, c, d, and e.

(2) y is equal to the average of a, b, c, d, and e.

From A:x=a+b+c+d+e,Not Suff

From B: Y=a+b+c+d+e/5,Not Suff

Together they are sufficient

hence C
