Square RSTU shown above is rotated in a plane about its center in a clockwise direction the minimum number of degrees necessary for T to be in the position where S is now shown. The number of degrees through which RSTU is rotated is

(A) 135 degree
(B) 180 degree
(C) 225 degree
(D) 270 degree
(E) 315 degree

Since we have a square, each rotation to the adjacent vertex is 360/4 = 90 degrees. From T to U is 90 degrees, from U to R is 90 degrees, and from R to S is 90 degrees, so the total is 270 degrees.
