The age of the Earth is approximately 1.3*10^17 seconds, and one year is approximately 3.2*10^7 seconds. Which of the following is closest to the age of the Earth in years?
A. 2.5*10^9
B. 4.1*10^9
C. 1.9*10^10
D. 2.5*10^11
E. 4.1*10^11

First reduce powers of 10

1.3*(10^17)/ 3.2*(10^7) = 1.3*(10^10) / 3.2

Then,

1.3*10*(10^9) / 3.2 = 13*(10^9) / 3.2

13/3.2 = 4.1

Ans = 4.1*(10^9)
