In his work, Leon Forrest is more reminiscent of Henry Miller's obsessive narratives and Toni Morrison's mythic languages than James Joyce's internal explorations.

c> Leon Forrest's work is more reminiscent of

e> Leon Forrest's work more resembles that of

E is wrong because

1) the usage of word "that" is wrong. "that" here clearly stands for "work" and its just awkward and nonsense meaning that
"Leon Forrest's work more resembles work of Henry Miller's obsessive narratives and Toni Morrison's mythic languages" the comparison now is between "Leon's work" and "work by someone's narrative and language" which is nonsense.

2) More X than Y construction needs proper consistency between X and Y. In E its not followed.

C is the best here.

hope this helps.
