Since we need \(24\) kilograms to make \(300\) tarts, in order to make \(1\) tart we need \(\frac{24}{300}\) kilograms.

Therefore, we need \(\frac{24}{300}\cdot45=\frac{18}{5}\) kilograms(Option __C__) of flour to make \(45\) tarts.

We can create the proportion:

24/300 = x/45

300x = 24(45)

100x = 8(45)

100x = 360

x = 360/100 = 36/10 = 18/5

Answer: C
