house, and that on any given day, one out of every fifty
adults carry a handgun away from home.

b) every one out of fifty adults carry
c) out of every fifty adults, one carries

one of out of every fifty is not the intended meaning of the sentence --> this sentence means that every group of 50 people has one person who carries a handgun. logically speaking this does not make any sense. so that leaves us with C n E -- (E) is more concise.

I think C has that same problem. "out of every fifty adults..." implies that any set of fifty adults you can pick will have one person that carries a gun.

You mean to say,
1-50, 51-100, 101-150.. Has same person who is carrying carrying gun ?

I was between choice A and E. E is shorter choice and saying the same thing as A. Also, to make sure E has the same meaning I read the choice with the full sentence. E choice makes sense in a sentence.
