Given the walking speed = 8 kilometers per hour, Juan's speed in meter per minute = 8,000 meters per 60 minutes = 800 meters in 6 minutes. Since Juan crossed the bridge in 6 minutes, the length of the bridge = 800 meters

The correct answer: E

Hope this helps!

Note: 6 minutes = 6/60 hours = 1/10 hours
Note: 8 kilometers = 8000 meters
So, 8 kilometers per hour = 8000 meters per hour

distance = (rate)(time)
So, distance = (8000 meters per hour)(1/10 hours)
= 800 meters

Answer: E

We use the formula rate x time = distance. Note that we have to convert the time of 6 minutes to hours, which is expressed as 6/60. Thus, the length of the bridge, in kilometers, is:

8 x 6/60 = 8 x 1/10 = 0.8

In meters, the length of the bridge is 0.8 x 1000 = 800.
