GMAC Test Prep- Second Time Around

Hey all! :)
I'm taking the GMAT for the second time around and when trying to do a practice test with the GMAC test prep, I receive the same scores and same test from when I used it the first time. I have uninstalled the software from my computer and installed it again, only to see the same scores. I called GMAC customer service twice..both times I was connected with an Indian man man who barely knew english and was unable to answer my quesiton. He simply said that each practice test is always the same, even if you download it repeatedly.
The GMAC test prep was a dead on indication of my actual test score, and would like to take a fresh practice test with this software, just as I did the first time around. If you are taking the practice tests with this software more than once, does it use CAT as a means of scoring like the actual GMAT, or do the tests remain the same? Has anyone experience this same problem? Any help would be wonderful! Cheers and the best of luck to all!

The GMATPREPs are adaptive, and also have a pretty big database, so you should be seeing mostly new questions when retaking. But they are not, by any way or means, completely new tests, even if you uninstall and reinstall again. Some questions will always repeat from one take to another, so the tests are usually less indicative in terms of score prediction the second time around - people usually score higher, simply because they recognize some of the questions.

In your case, it seems that the GMAT has you pegged - it manages to accurately gauge your level, every time you take. I suggest that you review your tests to see what went wrong and what needs to be done differently the next time. Think both on the level of a single question (why did I get this wrong? What can I do to get a similar question right the next time I see it), and on the level of the section as a whole (where did I spend time, and where did I run out of time? Perhaps I should allocate my time differently, choose my battles more carefully, skip on a few carefully chosen questions to leave enough time to work the others without making careless mistakes?)

Thank you so much for your quick and helpful response. I am happy to know that that they are in fact adaptive (even though some questions may be repeated) and will continue to focus on my weaknesses both in questions and sections as a whole. I found the error logs within these forums to be extremely useful. Coming down to the home stretch here, but ready to take on this test with everything I got! Thanks again :)
