A cube floating in a bucket of water has 80-85% of its volume below the surface of water. If between 12 & 16 cc of cube is above water surface, what is the side of cube?

b.5
c.7
d.8
e.9

Our minimum is when 12 = 20% of the volume, and our maximum is when 16 = 15% of the volume.

That gives us a volume between 60 and 106+(2/3). The only cube in this range is 4*4*4, so the answer is A.
