We can plug in the answers, which represent the miles per gallon in the city:
Answer choice C: 21 miles per gallon in the city, 27 miles per gallon on the highway
336/21 = 16 gallons in the tank.
16*27 = 432 miles traveled on the highway.
Doesn't work, since 462 miles need to be traveled on the highway.
Eliminate C.
Answer choice B: 16 miles per gallon in the city, 22 miles per gallon on the highway
336/16 = 21 gallons in the tank.
21*22 = 462 miles traveled on the highway.
Success!
The correct answer is B.
